Additional things to know:
  • You should have a current yoga practice-- this can be a home practice, a studio practice or a combination. The main intention simply needs to be a willingness to learn.
  • You are not expected to be advanced in your own postures-- yoga is accessible to everyone. We honor our own bodies and encourage our students to do the same.
  • Some people enroll to deepen their own personal practice; you are not required to teach upon completion and encourage you to honor your own intention.
  • Some students have practiced yoga and/or meditation for years and others have practiced for a much shorter time. Our students display a wide range of experience and abilities.
  • You are encouraged to learn as much as you can about yoga from many sources: books, videos, classes, workshops, etc.
  • There is a practicum requirement for this training. You will take classes, assist with classes, and/or observe classes outside of our classroom training. We have a list of opportunities and if you live outside of the Central Arkansas area, we will work with you and when needed and  provide alternate assignments.
  • We have trained students from the most rural communities to the largest cities in Arkansas and surrounding states.
  • A personal mission of owner, Courtney Butler, is to provide access to under-served populations and to provide access to yoga in rural areas of Arkansas and across the south.

FAQ's
  1. How do I know if this is right for me? Click here to learn more about Courtney and our teaching philosophy.
  2. How many people are in each training class? We typically have 10 to 15 students per training with an average class size of 12.
  3. How do I register? Click here to register-- fill out the form first.
  4. When do I pay my deposit?  Fill out the registration form first. Once we speak to determine if this is a good fit for you then you will pay your deposit. If you have already spoken to Courtney or Rena and we told you to go ahead and register then you are ready to pay your deposit.
  5. What is the time commitment outside of the weekend classroom hours? You should have your own regular yoga practice. In the 200-hour program, you will earn 200 hours of training through a combination of classroom hours, teaching, assisting, observing, homework, and your own practice. If you live outside of Central Arkansas and travel to Hot Springs for classroom hours, we can/will provide you with the names of teachers in your area or alternate options. Expect to spend about 2.5 hours a week or 10 hours each month on homework. We want you to be the best teacher you can be and provide you with the knowledge to deepen your own practice; therefore, we do not cut corners on training hours. We provide you with many opportunities to complete your practicum hours. We rarely have anyone who does not finish the program.
